MASTER KEY DID YOU KNOW THAT LOCKS CAN BE KEYED TO MORE THAN ONE KEY? We can set any lock to more than one key. Let's say you have a housekeeper, babysitter, or contractor who comes to your home to do work. You want to give them a key but you don't want them to have access all the time. We can set one lock, say the door knob on your front door, to two keys. Your regular key that opens all the locks and a key that only opens the door knob on the front door. When you don't want the "change" key to work you can lock your DEADBOLT. A master key is a key that opens more than one lock that is also keyed to other keys. For example, if you have an apartment building and you want one key to open all the units plus a separate key for each unit. When you masterkey a lock it reduces the security provided by the lock.
